About the Role

The Alberta Health Services is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Clinical Psychologist to join our team. As a Psychologist I, you will play a vital role in providing standard level psychology services to patients and their families within our established standards, directives, and policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide psychological screening and/or assessment, diagnosis, interventions, rehabilitation, prevention, and promotion services to patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals in planning and implementing services that align with best practices and ethical and professional standards.
  • Provide input to the interprofessional team related to psychological factors, barriers, and dynamics that influence client treatment planning, participation, outcomes, and team functioning.
  • Consult and collaborate with teams and community services to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Provide supervision to psychometrists, provisional psychologists, and/or masters-level psychology students.
  • Contribute to program, policy, and/or procedure development, and participate in formal research initiatives.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Psychology in an applied area relevant to the practice setting from an accredited university program.
  • Active or eligible for registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with Child and Family Services, Disability Services (FSCD), schools, and other health partnership initiatives.
  • Knowledge, skill, and experience in eating disorders and DBT.
