At WCB Alberta, we're committed to providing exceptional care and support to our clients. As a Psychologist (Casual) on our team, you'll play a vital role in helping individuals overcome psychological barriers to return to work.

Job Summary:

We're seeking a skilled Psychologist to join our interdisciplinary team. As a Psychologist (Casual), you'll work with clients suffering from acute pain, chronic pain, traumatic injuries, and/or brain injuries. Your expertise will help identify and address psychological barriers to return to work, providing psycho-education to clients to enhance their abilities.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Deliver psychological services as part of an interdisciplinary team to injured workers.
  • Complete psychological assessments and counseling sessions to enhance clients' abilities to return to work.
  • Facilitate psychology groups and conduct relaxation training classes to reduce the impact of disability-related issues.
  • Mentor undergraduate Psychology Interns.
  • Assist with program development as required.
  • Collaborate with Psychology peers to ensure best practice.

Your Experience and Skills:

  • Completion of a Master's Degree or Ph.D. in Psychology.
  • Active or eligible for registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists.
  • Completion of an internship from a Canadian Psychological Association accredited facility or equivalent.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have completed 1,600 hours of supervised practice and who have completed the Examination for Professional Practice in Psychology (EPPP's).
  • Experience in an interdisciplinary rehabilitation setting involving the assessment and treatment of a variety of disorders and experience providing psychological services is preferred.

Salary: H6 (Master's Level) - $47.09 to $60.95 per hour or H7 (Ph.D. Level) - $51.52 to $67.04 per hour
