Your Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Psychologist - Master's Level to join our interdisciplinary team. In this role, you will play a vital part in helping injured workers overcome psychological barriers to return to work. You will conduct comprehensive assessments, provide individual counseling sessions, and facilitate group therapy programs.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver psychological services as part of an interdisciplinary team, supporting injured workers with acute pain, chronic pain, traumatic injuries, and/or brain injuries.
  • Conduct thorough psychological assessments and counseling sessions to enhance clients' abilities to return to work successfully.
  • Facilitate psychology groups and conduct relaxation training classes to mitigate the impact of disability-related issues.
  • Mentor undergraduate Psychology Interns, sharing your expertise and guiding their professional development.
  • Contribute to program development initiatives as required, leveraging your clinical knowledge and experience.
  • Collaborate with fellow psychologists to ensure best practices are implemented and maintained within the team.
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Active or eligible for registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists.
  • Completion of an internship from a Canadian Psychological Association accredited facility or equivalent.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have completed 1,600 hours of supervised practice and who have successfully completed the Examination for Professional Practice in Psychology (EPPP's).
  • Experience in an interdisciplinary rehabilitation setting involving the assessment and treatment of a variety of disorders is highly desirable. Experience providing psychological services and experience in the treatment of clients with physical and/or chronic pain is preferred.
  • Research and psychological consultant experience is considered an asset.
