Business Development Executive

Detailed and accurate market analysis is crucial to ensuring Horizon North's success in the competitive oil & gas industry.
This role performs various duties, including developing sales strategies based on customer feedback and market trends, identifying opportunities for business growth, and offering value-added solutions to clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the industry and be able to build relationships with key stakeholders, including Indigenous communities.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet quarterly and annual forecasting targets;
- Identify and engage opportunities to grow the business and increase product adoption;
- Hunt and report on long lead sales opportunities;
- Maintain high levels of customer service and product knowledge;
- Sell all equipment and services under the WAFES portfolio;
- Work closely with Operations, Estimating, and Proposals teams to develop solutions for clients and prepare accurate quotes;
- C coordinate with Indigenous Relations team to further strategic initiatives within Indigenous communities;
- Keep up-to-date with competition and report on known activities;
- Assist in the development of quarterly and annual forecasting for each product and service;
- Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to ensure a broad reach of clientele for the diverse product line;
- Establish metrics to measure business performance and recommend go-forward strategy to address performance gaps;
- Develop short and long-term sales plans for the sales portfolio;
- Utilize CRM tool to track activity, sales pipeline, and win/loss reports;
- Manage Strategic Account – Account Management process, including sales strategy, adherence to HN Sales Methodology, and communication to Executive Sponsors;
- Stay informed about market trends and regulatory changes to allow Horizon North to respond appropriately;
- Represent and promote Horizon North throughout industry and develop strategic relationships with governmental and regulatory decision makers;
$120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience. A comprehensive benefits package is also included.

Requirements- University degree or technical diploma in commerce, business administration, engineering, or related field;
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in sales and/or business development;
- Proven sales experience with capacity to mentor peers with a team approach;
- Previous sales experience in the oil & gas industry, preferably in general oil and gas service sector and specifically in oilfields rentals or workforce accommodations;
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel frequently;
