At Japan Advertising Ltd., we're seeking a highly skilled International Student Adviser to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping international students succeed in their educational endeavors in Canada.

Company Overview

We are a renowned Education Agent that has been providing top-notch services to over 700+ international students from Japan each year. Our mission is to offer comprehensive support and guidance to ensure the success of our students in Canadian private/public colleges, ESL programs, co-op programs, and secondary schools.

This role plays a vital part in our organization's growth and success. As an International Student Adviser, you will be working closely with our team members, Canadian ESL schools, and private/public colleges to provide accurate information and guidance to prospective Japanese international students.

The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be proficient in MS Office (Word and Excel), Google Docs Editors (Docs and Sheets). Experience in utilizing virtual communication methods such as Zoom, LINE, and Email platforms is also essential.

In this role, you will be responsible for handling inquiry emails, scheduling appointments, guiding students on admission requirements and application processes, setting admission tests and interviews if required, and maintaining contact with school and homestay families.

Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $68,000 per annum, based on a 40-hour workweek and considering the location and industry standards.

Job Description
  • Handling inquiries from prospective students via email, LINE, or other communication channels.
  • Scheduling virtual and in-person appointments with students.
  • Providing guidance and advice on admission requirements, application processes, and school curriculum.
  • Setting up admission tests and interviews if necessary.
  • Maintaining relationships with schools, homestay families, and other stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education.
  • Related work experience in an administrative role.
  • Experience working in a student services setting, preferably with international students.
  • Fluency in Japanese language.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word and Excel), Google Docs Editors (Docs and Sheets).
  • Ability to quickly establish rapport and build relationships with students and colleagues.
