We are seeking an experienced International Student Recruitment Specialist to join our team at Arbutus College. As a key member of our recruitment team, you will play a vital role in promoting our educational programs and supporting the growth strategies of our institution.
Job DescriptionThe primary purpose of this role is to increase the volume, quality, and diversity of student applications and enrollments in line with targets from assigned markets or regions of responsibility. You will work closely with our College Director, Admissions, Finance, Marketing, and Recruitment/Conversion teams to ensure quality outcomes that meet the objectives of Arbutus College.
This role involves:
- Sales focus: Achieve targets through non-exclusive channel sales and maintain a proven track record of success in education or similar service industry;
- Relationship management: Develop and deepen relationships with current recruitment agencies within region(s) of responsibility, as well as build the number of active agents and new high-potential agents for Arbutus;
- Travel: Travel internationally 4-6 times per year, with typical recruitment trips lasting 10-15 days;
- Communication and interpersonal skills: Highly developed ability to initiate and manage business relationships across cultures;
This role requires a highly driven, self-motivated performer who can meet and exceed targets. You will be responsible for ensuring that students receive proper information related to IRCC requirements to study in Canada, adhering to relevant guidelines such as the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA), Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR), and Code of Ethics.
Key Performance IndicatorsYour performance will be measured by:
- Number, type, and quality of recruitment activities undertaken;
- Year-over-year increase in application generation, paid acceptances, and new student enrollments from region(s) of responsibility;
- Agent productivity increases;
- Number of new high-potential new agencies onboarded;
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A relevant diploma/degree in Business or Marketing;
- A proven track record of success achieving targets through non-exclusive channel sales;
- Demonstrated successful recruitment experience in education or similar service industry;
- Existing networks of education recruitment agencies and feeder institutions (preferred);
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to undertake frequent local and international travel if required;
- Language abilities suitable for region(s) of responsibility;
We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $69,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This role also offers opportunities for professional development and growth within our organization.
