At Japan Advertising Ltd., we're dedicated to providing exceptional support to Japanese students seeking educational opportunities in Canada. As an International Student Services Coordinator, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring their success.

About the Role

We're looking for a highly responsible and enthusiastic individual who is fluent in Japanese to join our team as an International Student Services Coordinator. This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours of work per week, Monday to Friday.

Salary

The hourly rate for this position is $17. Extended health and dental benefits are available to full-time employees after six months of service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle inquiries from prospective and existing Japanese international students via email, LINE, and virtual meetings.
  • Collaborate with Canadian ESL schools, private/public colleges, and team members to provide accurate information and guidance to prospective students.
  • Guide students on admission requirements, application processes, and school curricula.
  • Organize admission tests and interviews when necessary and follow up with students.
  • Work closely with the team manager and accountant to track and assist new international students.
  • Welcome students with orientation events and introduce them to team members.
  • Maintain contact with schools and homestay families regarding student progress.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in MS Office (Word and Excel) and Google Docs Editors (Docs and Sheets).
  • Utilize virtual communication methods such as Zoom, LINE, and email platforms effectively.
  • Establish strong relationships with students through effective communication.
  • Possess post-secondary education and experience in an administrative role.
  • A background in international student services or a related field is preferred.
