Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced International Student Experience Specialist to provide administrative support to our international student engagement programs and services. This role requires a high level of organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Coordination: Assist in planning, implementing, and delivering international student engagement programs and services, including events and orientation.
  • Support to Faculty and Staff: Provide instructions and guidance to internal staff and external parties relating to international student engagement programs and services.
  • Volunteer Management: Support the administration and implementation of the Langara Global Student Volunteer Program.
  • Communication and Outreach: Develop and implement international student engagement communications strategies.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Education: A two-year diploma or an associate's degree in a related discipline.
  • Experience: Two years of experience in a related field, preferably in a student engagement/student life environment.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in one of the following secondary languages: Mandarin/Cantonese, Vietnamese, Japanese, and/or Portuguese.
  • Certifications and Training: Intermediate to advanced knowledge in the use of virtual meeting and presentation applications, such as MS Teams and Zoom.
  • Soft Skills: Demonstrated intercultural competencies, cross-cultural sensitivity, and adaptation skills.
Benefits and Compensation:

We offer a competitive salary range of $ $58,000 - $68,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus an additional $5,000 annual bonus for performance-based targets.

Additional Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, 12 days of vacation per year, enrollment in the municipal pension plan, and access to training and development programs offered through the College.
