As a responsible and enthusiastic International Student Support Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for prospective and existing students, handling inquiries, scheduling appointments, and guiding them through the application process.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated professional with excellent communication skills and fluency in Japanese to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in an administrative role, preferably in a student services setting or as an Education Agent adviser/counselor. If you possess a strong ability to establish rapport and build relationships, both over email and virtual/in-person meetings, we encourage you to apply.

Japan Advertising Ltd. is a reputable Education Agent that offers comprehensive international student services. With over 700+ students from Japan studying in Canada each year, we pride ourselves on delivering detailed assistance and guidance throughout their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle inquiry emails, LINEs, and schedule virtual and in-person appointments with prospective and existing Japanese international students
  • Cooperate with Canadian ESL schools, private/public colleges, and team members to ensure accurate information is provided to guide and advise prospective students
  • Provide guidance on admission requirements, application processes, and schools' curriculum to prospective students
  • Set admission tests and interviews if required and follow up with prospective students
  • Collaborate with the team manager and accountant to track and assist new Japanese international students
  • Welcome Japanese students by organizing student orientation events and introducing team members
  • Maintain contact/rapport with school and homestay families to monitor students' progress during their program
Requirements:
  • Post-Secondary Education
  • Experience in an administrative role, preferably in a student services setting or as an Education Agent adviser/counselor
  • Fluency in Japanese
  • Strong ability to establish rapport and build relationships
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel), Google Docs Editors (Docs and Sheets)
  • Experience utilizing existing virtual communication methods (e.g., Zoom, LINE, Email platforms)
Benefits:

Full-time position: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Hourly rate: $17. Extended health and dental benefits available for full-time employees after six months.
