18-Month Contract with Potential for Permanent Employment

Job Overview

The Design and Logistics Coordinator will work closely with assigned designers to design, execute, and finalize assigned projects, ensuring a cohesive look and image. At the project's end, they will closely monitor job deficiencies and be responsible for unit handover to customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with appointed designers to ensure aesthetic elements align with project mandates and visions.
  • Ensure design projects respect budget and company standards.
  • Order materials in a timely manner to ensure timely arrival prior to installation and track progress.
  • In collaboration with the Project Manager, ensure information is transferred to contractors, delivery schedules are respected, and work standards are met.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for design questions and issues in the field, working with designers to find answers and solutions to identified issues.
  • Create and manage lists of open decision items and the timetable for decision-making, integrating with project schedules.
  • Collaborate with Assistant Project Managers to document design aspects, track budgets, and invoices.
  • Coordinate unit handover activities, working with Construction Site Coordinators to review and correct deficiencies before delivery.
  • Represent the organization during unit handovers to property management or unit owners at the project's end.
  • Act as a point of contact for clients regarding unit deficiencies resolution.

Key Requirements

  • DEC/College or University Degree in Design or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of prior experience in design.
  • Experience in a real estate/construction environment dealing with customers.
  • Strong judgment and analytical skills.
  • Rigor.
  • Negotiation skills and diplomacy.
  • Teamwork.
  • Familiarity with Procore and/or equivalent construction management software.

Language

  • English (Spoken and written).
  • French (Spoken and written) - According to Market.

Travel

  • To and between construction sites - Vehicle and valid driver's license required.
