Contract Opportunity

This is an 18-month contract position with the possibility of permanent employment.

Job Summary

The Delivery and Design Coordinator will work closely with assigned designers to design, execute, and finalize assigned projects' look and image. At the project's end, they will closely monitor job deficiencies and be responsible for unit handover to customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist and work closely with appointed designers to ensure aesthetic elements align with mandates and project visions.
  • Ensure design projects respect budgets and our standards.
  • Order materials in a timely fashion to ensure their arrival prior to installation and track progress.
  • In collaboration with the Project Manager, ensure information is transferred to contractors, delivery schedules are respected, and work standards are met.
  • Act as the first point of contact for design questions and issues in the field. Work together with designers to find answers and solutions to identified issues.
  • Create and manage lists of open decision items and the timetable that decisions must be made by, integrating with project schedules.
  • Collaborate with Assistant Project Managers to document design aspects, track budgets, and invoices.
  • Coordinate units' proper handover activities and work with Construction Site Coordinators to review and correct deficiencies before delivery.
  • Represent the organization for unit handovers to property management or unit owners at the project's end.
  • Act as a point of contact for each client regarding units' deficiencies resolution.

Requirements

  • DEC/College or University Degree in Design or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of prior experience in design.
  • Experience in a real estate/construction environment dealing with customers.
  • Good judgment and analytical skills.
  • Rigor.
  • Negotiation skills and diplomacy.
  • Teamwork.
  • Familiarity with Procore and/or equivalent construction management software.

Language

  • English (Spoken and written).
  • French (Spoken and written) - According to Market.

Travel

  • To and between construction sites - Vehicle and valid driver's license required.
