About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced culinary professional to join our team at Sushi Mong as a Cook. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes, as well as supervising kitchen staff and maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine the size of food portions and costs
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
  • Order supplies and equipment
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas
  • Recruit and hire staff
  • Organize buffets and banquets
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Permanent employment
  • English language proficiency
  • 30 to 40 hours per week
