Job Description

The Senior Technical Writer will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality content for our clients in various sectors. This role requires expert writing skills, the ability to interview subject matter experts (SMEs), and conduct research to produce accurate and comprehensive information assets.

This position involves analyzing source content, eliminating non-essential information, and organizing working sessions with SMEs to ensure focus and timely results. The successful candidate will also interface directly with multiple stakeholders within the client base and manage multiple information assets and delivery schedules in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze source content to identify key information and eliminate non-essential details
  • Design and develop high-quality content that meets client requirements
  • Interface with SMEs to gather information and conduct research
  • Organize and facilitate working sessions with SMEs to ensure timely results
  • Manage multiple information assets and delivery schedules in a dynamic environment
  • Maintain quality assurance practices to ensure accuracy and effectiveness
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Technical Communications, Library and Information Science, Computer Science, Information Sciences, English, or Journalism
  • 7+ years of experience developing content for various industries
  • Strong leadership and customer-facing skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet aggressive timelines
  • Proficiency in software applications, database concepts, and standard office tools
  • Experience working with remote teams and leveraging best practices to achieve effective communication
Location and Salary

This position is available as a contract role, offering a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on experience. Remote work is available for candidates located in Canada and the US.
