Insurance Business Development Specialist

Acera Insurance is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Insurance Business Development Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, as well as identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to an existing book of business;
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to grow existing business and identify new business opportunities;
  • Participate in up-sell and cross-sell initiatives to increase revenue;
  • Day-to-day client servicing, including responding to client inquiries and resolving issues;
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of services to clients;
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to provide expert advice to clients;
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and revenue goals;
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our products and services to effectively communicate their value to clients;
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders to drive business growth and success;
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of sales strategies and initiatives to drive business growth and revenue;
  • Participate in sales training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge;
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Level 2 Insurance License;
  • 3-5 years of experience in personal insurance sales or a related field;
  • Working towards CAIB or CIP designation;
  • Strong business acumen and excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills;
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment;
  • Strong technical and computer skills;
  • Good judgment and decision-making skills;
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and ever-changing environment.
