About the Role

BMO is seeking a highly skilled Mortgage Specialist to join our team. As a Mortgage Specialist, you will play a critical role in helping customers achieve their dream of home ownership by providing expert guidance and support throughout the mortgage application process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute effective marketing and sales strategies to drive business results and increase BMO's share of the home financing market.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with a network of referral sources, including realtors and lawyers, to generate referrals and grow the business.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to customers on mortgage products and services, ensuring they receive the best possible solutions to meet their needs.
  • Work closely with branch teams to ensure seamless handoffs and timely completion of mortgage applications.
  • Identify and capitalize on sales opportunities to achieve individual sales and profitability goals.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and provide expert advice to customers.
Requirements
  • Typically 3-5 years of relevant experience in mortgage lending or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of mortgage lending processes and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal, sales, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
