About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Railside Lounge and Leisure Centre INC. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation
    • Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise and meet the tastes and preferences of our customers.
    • Source high-quality ingredients and suppliers to ensure consistency and freshness.
  • Kitchen Operations
    • Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective service.
    • Manage kitchen inventory and ordering to minimize waste and optimize resources.
  • Food Safety and Quality
    • Ensure strict adherence to food safety and handling procedures to maintain a clean and healthy kitchen environment.
    • Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure dishes meet our high standards.
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead and motivate kitchen staff to achieve exceptional service and quality standards.
    • Provide coaching and feedback to staff to improve performance and skills.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Minimum 2 years of experience as a head chef or executive chef in a high-volume kitchen.
    • Post-secondary education in culinary arts or a related field.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Proven track record of menu planning, kitchen operations, and team leadership.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
