About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Spice Junction Hospitality Ltd. as a Head Cook. This is a permanent position, working 30 to 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation

Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise and cater to the diverse tastes of our customers.

Chef Supervision

Lead and train a team of kitchen staff, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional dishes.

Inventory Management

Oversee the ordering and inventory of food, supplies, and equipment to maintain optimal kitchen operations.

Quality Control

Conduct regular kitchen inspections to ensure high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and presentation.

Staff Development

Provide ongoing training and coaching to help staff improve their skills and advance in their careers.

Customer Service

Ensure that every customer interaction is positive and memorable, reflecting the values of Spice Junction Hospitality Ltd.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.

Experience

A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role is necessary.

Work Environment

Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, standing for extended periods.

Physical Demands

Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects, as well as perform repetitive tasks.

Language

Fluency in English is required.

Cuisine Specialties

We specialize in East Indian cuisine and are looking for a chef who can showcase their skills in this area.
