About the Opportunity

As a Community Living Counsellor, Team Lead with the Community Living Society – North Vancouver, you will play a vital role in providing support to adults with developmental disabilities.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership and management skills, as well as experience in providing sound, consistent, and caring support. Your ability to coach, mentor, and empower individuals to achieve their goals will be key to success in this position.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting individuals to live independently and participate fully in their communities
  • Providing administrative and financial support to the Manager of Staffed Homes
  • Motivating and coaching a team of Community Living Counsellors
  • Supporting individuals with various life goals and objectives
  • Assisting with home support duties, including personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping
  • Aiding individuals in pursuing community activities, volunteering, and employment opportunities
  • Maintaining accurate records of daily activities and goal progression
About You

We are seeking a candidate who is passionate about empowering individuals with developmental disabilities to reach their full potential. Your experience in disability support, coupled with your leadership and management skills, will enable you to excel in this role.

Requirements
  • Class 5 driver's license (permanent staff must be willing to obtain Class 4)
  • First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Clean driver's abstract
  • Clear criminal record (paid by CLS)
