Job Summary

This position involves developing safe return-to-work plans for employees with injuries or illnesses. The ideal candidate will have experience in disability management and be able to assess employee fitness for work based on medical information.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement safe stay-at-work and/or return-to-work plans for employees with injury or illness.
  • Coordinate disability case management of ill and injured employees, including early intervention and provision of services and referrals.
  • Maintain full medical confidentiality within the scope of VCH's Accessing Employee Medical Information Policy.
Required Qualifications:
  • University degree in kinesiology, occupational therapy, physical therapy or other healthcare discipline.
  • Five years recent related experience in a unionized healthcare environment, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Disability Management certificate (National Institute of Disability Management and Research).
