About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caring Support Worker to join our team at the Developmental Disabilities Association.

Job Description

The successful candidate will provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting their independence and well-being in a group home setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, such as personal care and household chores
  • Support clients in developing life skills, including budgeting and meal planning
  • Accompany clients to appointments and social outings, ensuring their safety and well-being
  • Collaborate with other service providers to ensure comprehensive support
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Developmental Services Worker (DSW) Training or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with MS Office and basic computer skills
Preferred Qualifications

An asset to your application would be:

  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this position is $40,000 - $50,000, depending on experience.
