Johnson Controls is a global leader in smart, healthy and sustainable buildings. We're seeking a Senior Fire Alarm Technician to join our team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance on Electrical life safety systems as well as similar competitive manufacturers' product lines. This includes working with low-voltage wiring and associated devices for the operation of low-voltage equipment.

We offer a competitive salary of approximately $85,000 per year, based on industry standards and location. Our benefits package includes paid vacation, holidays, and sick time, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision care, retirement savings plan, and more.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Documented experience in low voltage electrical systems, installation, or maintenance of fire alarm systems
  • Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, program schematics, and operational/product manuals
  • Familiarity and understanding of Fire Code, and how to read, interpret, and apply it
  • Strong customer service and professional demeanor
