Fire Alarm System Specialist

Job OverviewThis is an entry-level position that offers a positive work/training experience and challenging objectives. As a full-time Fire Alarm Inspector, you will be responsible for working independently to complete a route of monthly visual inspections on fire and life safety systems, documenting and submitting reports.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a portfolio of recurring monthly visual inspections of emergency lighting and fire extinguishers throughout the province.
- Establish a route that is efficient and maximizes utilization.
- Using an electronic work order management system, use accurate real-time debriefing.
- Complete and submit electronic inspection reports.
- Responsible for meeting customer expectations while assisting quality inspections; and maintaining a professional demeanor with customers.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- An Electronic Technology program graduate degree or minimum High School completion / some technical training preferred.
- The ability to sit or stand for long periods.
- The ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- A Canadian citizen or legal right to work in Canada with any employer.
- The ability to travel within the province. Willingness to work overnight out of town as required.
- The ability to meet deadlines.
- Aptitude and interest in electronics and technical troubleshooting.
- Intermediate skill in Microsoft Office suite, ability to learn and utilize smartphone apps, software programs, and computer systems.
- A clean driving record and valid driver's license without restrictions.
- The ability to obtain Reliability clearance.
$50,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
