Commercial Insurance Business Development Manager

Key Responsibilities

  1. Business Development: As a subject matter expert, you will be accountable for achieving business results through effective process management, workflow optimization, and quality control.
  2. Leadership and Coaching: You will lead by example, coach and mentor team members, and demonstrate exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills.
  3. Change Management: You will support the implementation of major change initiatives and work closely with the management team to develop and execute business strategies.
  4. Team Development: You will work with the team to develop business plans, leverage individual strengths, and implement succession plans.
  5. Quality Assurance: You will ensure that service quality meets expected standards and identify opportunities to enhance the customer experience.
  6. Issue Resolution: You will analyze and resolve service and sales issues, and follow up on escalated situations as required.
  7. Special Projects: You will assist the Operations Manager with special projects and contribute to the overall growth and success of the organization.

Requirements

  1. Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial insurance.
  2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in people management.
  3. RIBO license in good standing.
  4. Leadership and management experience within an insurance brokerage.
  5. Strong business acumen, analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  6. Excellent communication, written, oral, and presentation skills.
