Job Description

This is a dynamic role that involves providing administrative support for our awards programs, communications, and event initiatives. The ideal candidate will have exceptional project management skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and demonstrated experience in program tracking and reporting.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating outreach communications for nominations and competitions, analyzing and presenting nomination data, and providing administrative support for our Board of Directors, sub-committees, and adjudication committees.

You will also be responsible for planning and logistical support for our flagship events and programs, including liaison with venues, catering, and AV. Additionally, you will coordinate travel for speakers and laureates, and track and follow up on committee action items.

This role requires a versatile and proactive individual who can manage diverse projects across multiple portfolios, requiring strong problem-solving, communication, organizational, and project-management skills.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • University or college degree with skills and/or experience in data analysis, event management, communications, and/or project management
  • Exceptional project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience in program tracking and reporting
  • Experience and interest in science communication is considered an asset
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint (or Google Sheets/Slides)
