Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is estimated to be between $88,990 and $111,237 per year, based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.

In addition to competitive pay, we offer comprehensive benefit packages including extended health/dental and a municipal pension plan for part-time and full-time employees. Casuals have the option of paying for benefits. We also provide four weeks' vacation after one year of continuous service and financial support for moving expenses for eligible positions.

Job Description

This exciting opportunity is available for a Program/Service Optimization Specialist who will play a key role in researching, developing, implementing, and continually improving clinical practices, processes, documentation, reporting, and clinical data/information to enable effective and efficient care in our departments.

The successful candidate will provide oversight and facilitate quality improvement changes in collaboration with clinical leaders, Information and Technology Services (ITS), clinical managers and directors, physicians, and staff. They will serve as the liaison and change agent for clinical care areas, departments, and units, continuously identifying opportunities for improvement and analyzing, prioritizing, and translating user needs into more standardized clinical practice, processes, and use of electronic medical records (EMR) and other clinical IT tools.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a healthcare discipline and relevant professional development process improvement, change management, information technology/information management, project management, group facilitation, coaching. They should have five to seven years of front-line clinical care and related experience working in clinical operations EMR use or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research, develop, implement, and continually improve clinical practices, processes, documentation, reporting, and clinical data/information
