Sanitation Worker - Food Safety Specialist

Job Summary

Hain Celestial is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sanitation Worker - Food Safety Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain strict adherence to standard operating procedures and safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure product quality.
  • Conduct regular sanitation and cleaning procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Monitor and control the use of chemicals and equipment, adhering to Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and optimize production efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and issue resolution.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance knowledge and skills in food safety and sanitation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the achievement of business objectives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a sanitation or quality control role in a food processing or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
