About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our kitchen team at KNAAR RESTAURANTS CORP. As a Dishwasher, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen, ensuring that our dishes, utensils, and equipment are sanitized and ready for use.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sanitize and wash dishes, glassware, and flatware to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Operate dishwashers to ensure efficient and effective cleaning of dishes and equipment.
  • Load and unload buspans and trays to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs to maintain a clean and organized dining area.
  • Assist with receiving, unpacking, and storing supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Participate in cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • Handle and store cleaning products safely and responsibly.
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash to maintain a clean and healthy environment.
  • Sharpen kitchen knives to maintain a safe and efficient workflow.
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
  • Assist with other kitchen duties as required to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees
  • Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees.
  • Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees, such as housing, transportation, storage, childcare, and winter clothing.
  • Support social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees, such as facilitating access to community resources, language training, and skills training.
  • Recruit newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster.
  • Support newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition.
  • Offer mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees.
Support for Youths
  • Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment.
  • Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth.
  • Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for youth.
  • Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
Support for Veterans
  • Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports Veterans.
  • Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Veterans.
  • Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for Veterans.
  • Offer flexible onboarding options to allow Veterans to gradually adapt to the civilian workplace.
Support for Indigenous People
  • Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people.
  • Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers.
Support for Mature Workers
  • Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports mature workers.
  • Apply hiring policies that discourage age discrimination.
  • Provide staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers.
