Position Overview

As a Kitchen Sanitation Specialist at KNAAR RESTAURANTS CORP, you will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene within our culinary environment. This permanent position offers a full-time schedule of 30 to 40 hours per week and requires a secondary school graduation certificate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure that clean dishes, utensils, and kitchenware are delivered to serving areas and tables are set appropriately.
  • Manage the replacement and care of linens.
  • Conduct thorough cleaning and sanitization of dishwashing mats, carts, and waste disposal units.
  • Clear and sanitize tables, trays, and chairs post-service.
  • Efficiently load and unload buspans and trays.
  • Operate dishwashing machines to ensure the cleanliness of dishes, glassware, and utensils.
  • Organize and store dishes in designated areas.
  • Perform hand washing and sanitization of dishes and kitchen items.
  • Scrub and clean pots and pans to maintain quality standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • Handle and store cleaning supplies safely.
  • Receive, unpack, and organize supplies in storage areas.
  • Dispose of kitchen waste and garbage responsibly.
  • Sharpen kitchen knives as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, and polishing.
  • Prepare vegetables and fruits by washing, peeling, and cutting.

This role also involves participating in various support initiatives:

  • Engage in programs that assist newcomers and refugees, including immediate settlement support and social integration.
  • Contribute to youth employment initiatives through tailored on-the-job training and mentorship.
  • Support veterans by providing networking opportunities and flexible onboarding.
  • Participate in programs that assist Indigenous individuals and mature workers, promoting an inclusive workplace.
