Job Summary

At Hain Celestial, we are seeking a highly skilled Sanitation Worker to join our team. As a Sanitation Worker, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of our production facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize chemicals and equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures and MSDS sheets.
  • Ensure the use of safety equipment appropriate to the work site and follow GMPs to avoid raw/dirty contact with finished product.
  • Operate machinery in a safe manner, using proper lock-out procedures, and work around chemicals in compliance with WorkSafe BC regulations.
  • Follow established sanitation procedures for each area and strive to comply with the vision statement of Hain Celestial.
  • Communicate any concerns or deviations to the supervisor in a timely manner and report food safety problems to the supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as instructed by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Ability to operate the mixing equipment safely and possess strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to make judgment decisions based on activities in other departments and have the required HACCP knowledge for the assigned station.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal contacts and possess product knowledge.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, adapt to a continuously changing environment, and work efficiently and in an organized manner.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, and verbal) and possess good hand/eye coordination.

Education and Experience

  • Completion of Grade 12.
