Job Title: Camp Programs Manager

Estimated Salary: $20.78 per hour (based on a full-time schedule)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Camp Programs Manager to join our team at CNIB Lake Joe. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of programs and activities for guests with sight loss. Your primary goal will be to create a fun, engaging, and empowering experience for all participants.

This role requires excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You should have previous experience in a supervisory role and possess strong problem-solving skills.

In consultation with the Supervisor, Camp Programs, you will finalize the program schedule, ensuring that it meets the needs of guests and staff members. This includes planning and coordinating various activities, such as land and water programs, community-building events, and new initiatives.

You will also be responsible for supervising, coaching, and monitoring the work of staff members. This will involve providing feedback, setting expectations, and encouraging staff success and development.

An added responsibility will be to facilitate pre- and post-session meetings with staff and volunteers to set clear expectations and goals. You will also promote participation in programs through endorsement of activities to guests.

As a Camp Programs Manager, you will be the point of contact for staff and guests when issues arise. You will help resolve problems collaboratively and provide solutions for guests and staff.

  • Able to work flexible hours, including standard camp hours and extended periods outdoors.
