SalaryThe estimated annual salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 CAD, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Job DescriptionThis is a full-time role that requires 37.5 hours of work per week, Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the daycare center, including staffing, family engagement, financial management, programming, and quality outcomes.
- Lead the implementation of an inclusive play-based curriculum that aligns with How Does Learning Happen and the YMCA Curriculum.
- Evaluate program quality and ensure compliance with regulations from the Ministry of Education, Child Care Early Years Act (2014), YMCA of Southwestern Ontario, Public Health, and Fire Regulations.
- Maintain accurate records, complete financial forecasting, and manage the center budget.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An Early Childhood Educator Diploma or degree in a related field, combined with a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a childcare environment.
- Registration and good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE).
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification.
- A Vulnerable Criminal Reference Check (less than 6 months old) and up-to-date immunizations as required by Public Health, Ministry of Education, and YMCASWO.
