Business Development Representative

At Yorktown Search Partners, we are seeking a talented Business Development Representative to join our team as an Account Specialist. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to thrive in a fast-paced environment and advance your finance career.
This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy connecting with Investment Professionals across North America on behalf of our esteemed clients, including banks, asset managers, and public companies across various sectors and industries.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily outbound phone calls to engage Investment Professionals, generating leads and building professional relationships within a defined target segment.
- Record daily call activities accurately, updating and maintaining information in our client’s proprietary database.
- Develop and maintain an understanding of diverse industries and financial products.
- Collaborate with team members to create and implement innovative outreach strategies for client campaigns.
- Support senior team members with administrative tasks and assist on special projects as needed.
A degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is required. Completion of the Canadian Securities Course is preferred. Prior experience in business development or sales, ideally within financial services, is an asset.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver compelling responses and handle objections confidently.
- Demonstrated resilience and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to turning challenges into opportunities.
- Adaptability and strategic thinking, with an ability to adjust outreach techniques based on real-time feedback.
- Experience with CRM tools to track and manage interactions and data.
- Excellent collaboration skills, with a positive, team-oriented mindset.
- A solid understanding of financial markets or a keen interest in learning more.
- Exceptional organizational skills and time management abilities.
We offer a competitive salary of $80,000-$110,000 per annum, commensurate with the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and market benchmarks in the financial services sector.
