Job Description

The Account Director will be responsible for driving revenue growth and maintaining existing business partnerships with dealer groups. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing sales strategies and executing plans to achieve revenue targets;
  • Negotiating expectations, terms, conditions, and pricing with clients;
  • Overseeing financial management of account revenue and profitability;
  • Proactively identifying high-level sales opportunities and developing customer accounts;
  • Maintaining excellent customer relations and resolving client issues efficiently;
  • Serving as a single point of contact throughout the sales process;
  • Providing proactive assistance and support to both clients and peers;
  • Maintaining strong knowledge of AutoTrader product offerings and market trends;

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field;
  • Minimum 8-10 years direct sales experience working with national/large revenue accounts;
  • Proven results in achieving/exceeding sales targets;
  • Experience in intangible, media, and internet product sales;
  • Ability to take initiative and act on problems or opportunities without being prompted;
  • Strong closing techniques and ability to engage customers with enthusiasm and persuasion;
  • Intermediate level computer skills in Microsoft Office and other tools;
  • People skills, effective team player, and strong communication skills;
  • Drive for results, time and resource management skills, and problem-solving abilities;
