Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement new pastry and dessert recipes, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Lead a team of pastry chefs, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop menus and specials, ensuring alignment with the company's culinary vision.
  • Monitor inventory and manage ordering to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Communicate effectively with the kitchen team, front-of-house staff, and management to ensure seamless service.

Requirements:

  • At least two years of experience in a pastry or dessert role, preferably in a high-volume restaurant or hotel.
  • Strong knowledge of pastry and dessert preparation, including bread-making, cake decorating, and individual dessert plating.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
