We are seeking a Strategic Business Development Lead to join our Mining team based in Toronto, ON.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing business development activities for Bantrel's Canadian market, reporting directly to the Vice President of Client Solutions.

Key responsibilities include contributing to Bantrel's Strategy Framework process, maintaining relationships with major competitors, contractors, and suppliers, and representing Bantrel throughout the industry to build and sustain relationships and brand recognition.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Contribute to Bantrel's Strategy Framework process, including market, client, and competitor analysis across Canada.
  • Maintain relationships with major competitors, contractors, and suppliers to gain insights into their marketing activity, customer focus, products, and strategic initiatives.
  • Represent Bantrel throughout the industry to build and sustain relationships and brand recognition.
  • Collaborate with the Mining General Manager to develop and execute strategies/tactics for market development and penetration in support of their business plans.
  • Oversee proposal development and the response process.
  • Manage the pursuit risk process, including collaboration with Bantrel legal and project management in prime contract review.
  • Participate in prime contract negotiation and project handover to execution teams.
  • Lead the commercial strategy for pursuits.
  • Drive active regular cooperation and coordination with Bechtel Global Business Unit (GBU) in pursuit of common markets to develop the most attractive offering to customers.
Qualifications
  • A post-secondary degree in Engineering or Construction. Engineering in an appropriate discipline/specialty is preferred;
  • 8+ years of industry experience in project execution and/or operations, business development roles within an EPC/EPCM organization;
  • Sound knowledge of commercial, economic, and business issues relating to the respective industry in general and in local target markets;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to listen and communicate with stakeholders at all levels, including clients, senior leaders, and frontline employees;
Compensation Package

We offer a competitive compensation package, including a base salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for career advancement.
