Technical Support Specialist with Expertise in Restaurant Point of Sale Systems

PCI Panasonic Canada Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team. This role will be based out of Niagara-on-the-Lake and requires the individual to provide technical support through telephone and email for timely resolution of customer issues.
About the RoleThis is a full-time contract opportunity that requires the ability to work in a 24/7 * 365 helpdesk environment with a fixed schedule. The successful candidate will provide technical support for B2B Customer core Restaurant Point of Sale (POS) hardware along with software applications, including pin pads, scanners, kitchen video systems, security systems, drive-through headsets, and time clock systems.
The Technical Support Specialist will also escalate customer issues to the next level of support, Advanced product support, Field Service, Management, etc., and provide value-added customer service by translating highly technical specifications into clear non-technical requirements for easier understanding of non-technical end users.
A key aspect of this role is the ability to train and assist new agents with call center routine, as well as maintain, monitor, support, and troubleshoot POS hardware and software applications.
Required Skills and Qualifications- High school graduation with 3 to 4 years of technical and troubleshooting experience or Community College (Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering) and sufficient proven customer relations experience.
- Bilingual in French and English.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook email, internet, and Salesforce CRM.
- Microsoft Networking certification (A+) or appropriate post-secondary technical degree involving Engineering, Computer Networking, Programming, Systems Analyst, etc.
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking protocols, Router hardware and configuration, Ethernet Hub, Internet Modem, and anti-virus in a networked environment.
The estimated salary for this position is between $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
