Quality Improvement Lead

Job Summary:
The Quality Improvement Lead is a key member of our team at Responsive Group Inc., responsible for leading the internal Quality Improvement Program and fostering a culture of continuous quality improvement with a focus on safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the Continuous Quality Improvement Program and the Resident Quality Inspection (RQI) process.
- Lead the internal Quality Team Meetings.
- Train new staff on the RQI process and the Inspection Guides interview questions and surveys.
- Utilize the Health Quality Ontario website for resources to advance quality improvement activities.
- Ensure that all quality management and risk management-related activities are reviewed, discussed, and follow-up actions identified as necessary.
- Monitor indicators on the public website of HQO and Your Health System.
- Communicate data analysis, trends, and Quality Improvement activities to Residents' and Family Council.
- Work together with the Accreditation Coordinator to ensure all quality and safety standards for CARF accreditation are being addressed.
- Required to understand the nature and meaning of quality indicators used by the Home and to understand which indicators are publicly reported.
Requirements:
- Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare practices, trends, and issues in long-term care and impacts on other healthcare sectors/community at large.
- Proven management experience in LTC.
- Excellent knowledge of Quality/Risk Management philosophies and programs.
- Master trained in Resident Quality Inspection process.
- Training in Quality Improvement and Innovation preferred.
- Working knowledge of relevant computer applications and applicable legislation.
- Strong interpersonal and team-building skills.
- To show evidence of being focused on people's feelings when interacting and knowing how to turn a task into positive social interaction.
- To undertake and meet all legal requirements within a context of promoting individuals' rights and measuring/reducing elements of risk.
- As a condition of employment, candidates are required to submit documented results of TB testing (within the last six months or within 14 days upon hire) or a chest X-ray (within the last year), as per Public Health requirements.
- COVID-19 vaccination is a condition of employment.
- French speaking an asset (for Champlain and Lancaster).
- Italian speaking an asset (for Villa Marconi).
