About the Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our Global Data Governance team at Société Financière Manuvie. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in shaping the growth and expansion of our data governance function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Data Governance Agenda: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to accelerate trust and utilization of data across the organization.
  • Refine Global Data Quality Framework: Continuously improve and refine our data quality framework, developing playbooks, accelerators, and training programs to drive adoption.
  • Support Data Governance Leaders: Enhance data literacy and familiarity with data governance and data quality practices among leaders across the organization.
  • Engage with Partners: Collaborate with partners at various levels to identify critical data elements, set up metrics linking data quality to business value, and guide them in data quality concepts.
  • Conduct Data Analysis: Conduct hands-on data analysis to address high-priority data quality issues, from issue identification to root cause analysis and resolution.
  • Implement Data Governance Metrics: Develop and implement global data governance metrics and oversight mechanisms to ensure delivery of target outcomes through the Data Governance program.
  • Support Technology Adoption: Partner with Technology teams to support the adoption of data quality technology in the Azure Cloud environment and on-prem applications.
  • Liaise with Stakeholders: Serve as a liaison between the Global Data Governance team and Segment Data offices, Data Owners, and Control Partners to ensure data quality requirements are defined, captured, and communicated.
  • Drive Innovation: Apply creative thinking and contribute to innovation in data governance practices at Société Financière Manuvie, monitoring new and existing data governance technologies and bringing meaningful advancements to the leaders' attention.
About You
  • 5+ Years of Experience: You have 5+ years of experience in data governance and data management in a large multinational organization.
  • Strong Communication Skills: You are a strong communicator, able to effectively target communications to both technology and business audiences.
  • Data Governance Expertise: You have mastery of data governance concepts and technologies, with hands-on experience using leading data quality software and data visualization products at scale.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: You are a strong problem-solver, able to facilitate teams united by a common goal in a matrixed organizational structure.
  • Analytics and Dashboard Design: You have practical experience with data wrangling, analytics, and dashboard design.
