The Senior Manager, Enterprise Data Protection plays a crucial role in overseeing and providing strategic advisory services to various Technology Groups and business units concerning the data protection control framework. This position is essential in ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer expert guidance to business units on data protection controls, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with diverse technology teams, including infrastructure and security engineers, to evaluate and enhance data protection measures.
- Analyze and assess risk remediation strategies in response to regulatory changes and organizational shifts.
- Ensure adherence to data protection regulations and oversee compliance initiatives.
- Maintain and enhance the control framework, focusing on risk mitigation and ongoing monitoring of data protection practices.
- Contribute to the development of strategies and governance models across Data Protection domains, including policy recommendations.
- Foster a robust data protection culture in collaboration with stakeholders across various business lines.
- Promote a customer-centric approach within the team to strengthen client relationships and leverage broader organizational knowledge.
- Integrate the Bank's risk appetite into daily operations and decision-making processes.
- Support a work environment that prioritizes effective operations in line with the Bank's values and compliance obligations.
Qualifications:
- A Master's degree or higher in relevant fields such as science, technology, engineering, or business administration.
- Over 10 years of pertinent experience in data protection or related fields.
- Professional certifications like CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or CISA are advantageous.
- Familiarity with frameworks such as COBIT, ITIL, or NIST.
- Experience in Technology, Information/Cyber Security, IT Audit, or IT Compliance roles.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and business areas.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proactive, creative, and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills, able to balance diverse perspectives.
- Proficiency in Spanish (verbal and written) is required.
