Healthcare Security Officer

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Security Officer to join our team at Paladin Security. As a key member of our healthcare division, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of patients, staff, and visitors in our healthcare facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Access Control: Provide secure access to authorized personnel and monitor restricted areas to prevent unauthorized access.
- Incident Response: Respond promptly and effectively to incidents, including monitoring cameras and investigating irregularities.
- Patient Safety: Monitor patient safety and document incidents as required, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all patients.
- Patrols and Surveillance: Conduct regular patrols of the facility to identify and mitigate potential security risks, including unlocked doors, blocked entrances/exits, and mechanical issues.
- Emergency Response: Respond to alarms and emergency calls for assistance, providing timely and effective support to patients and staff.
- Strong Communication Skills: Possess excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to de-escalate conflicts and provide empathetic support to patients and staff.
- Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, staff, and visitors from diverse backgrounds.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Possess calm and confident problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and respond effectively to challenging situations.
- Confidentiality: Understand the importance of maintaining confidentiality in the workplace and adhere to all relevant policies and procedures.
- Physical Demands: Be able to perform all physical aspects of the job, including walking up to 20km/shift, walking up/down stairs, and pushing/pulling 30-pound doors.
- Security License: Hold a valid AB Security license or be willing to obtain one prior to commencing work with Paladin Security.
