About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Security Officer to join our team at Paladin Security. As a key member of our healthcare division, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of patients, staff, and visitors in our healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Access Control: Provide secure access to authorized personnel and visitors, while maintaining the integrity of restricted areas.
  • Incident Response: Respond promptly and effectively to incidents, including monitoring cameras and investigating irregularities.
  • Patient Safety: Monitor patient safety and document incidents as required, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all.
  • Patrols and Surveillance: Conduct regular patrols of the facility to identify and mitigate potential risks, including unlocked doors, blocked entrances/exits, and mechanical issues.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to alarms and emergency calls for assistance, providing timely and effective support.
Requirements
  • Strong Communication Skills: Possess excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to de-escalate conflicts and provide empathetic support.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals, including patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Problem-Solving: Exhibit calm and confident problem-solving abilities, with a focus on finding solutions that prioritize patient safety and well-being.
  • Confidentiality: Understand the importance of maintaining confidentiality in the workplace, ensuring the protection of sensitive information.
  • Physical Demands: Meet the physical demands of the role, including walking up to 20km/shift, walking up/down stairs, and pushing/pulling 30-pound doors.
  • Security License: Hold a valid AB Security license or be willing to obtain one prior to commencing work with Paladin Security.
