About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Support Specialist to join our team at AJ SAND AND GRAVEL. As an Administrative Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Office Operations: Ensure the efficient flow of information within the team, including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and coordinating meetings.
  • Develop and Implement Office Procedures: Establish and maintain office routines, protocols, and procedures to ensure consistency and productivity.
  • Provide Administrative Support: Assist with data compilation, statistics, and other information as required, and maintain accurate records and files.
  • Manage Office Supplies and Inventory: Order and maintain office supplies, and ensure that inventory levels are adequate.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Greet visitors, direct them to contacts or service areas, and provide general information about the company.
  • Develop and Maintain Filing Systems: Set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems to ensure easy access to information.
  • Prepare Correspondence and Documents: Type and proofread correspondence, forms, and other documents as required.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Support for Diverse Groups: Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for persons with disabilities, newcomers and refugees, youth, veterans, Indigenous people, and visible minorities.
  • Language and Work Environment: Fluency in English is required, and the work environment is 40 hours per week.
