About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant General Manager to join our team at Subway (Harewood). As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our restaurant, ensuring that we deliver exceptional customer service and maintain high standards of quality and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Lead and motivate a team of staff to achieve sales and customer satisfaction targets
    • Recruit, train, and develop staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their roles
    • Manage staff performance, providing regular feedback and coaching to improve performance
  • Operations and Administration
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, including inventory management, stock control, and cash handling
    • Manage the restaurant's budget, ensuring that we stay within budget and make cost savings where possible
    • Ensure that the restaurant is clean and well-maintained, meeting health and safety standards
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that customers receive exceptional service, responding to their needs and resolving any issues promptly
    • Monitor customer feedback and use it to improve our services and products
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a restaurant management role
    • College/CEGEP degree in Business Administration or a related field
  • Skills and Qualities
    • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and staff
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities
