Business Operations Coordinator

Job Summary:
Solar Ship Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and organized Project Coordinator to join our Operations team. As a key member of our team, you will provide administrative support, manage projects, and collaborate with technical personnel to drive business success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Operations team by managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and maintaining records.
- Provide administrative assistance to the COO and other senior management personnel.
- Manage procurement processes, including purchase requests, POs, and invoices.
- Assist the Bookkeeper with financial tasks and maintain accurate records.
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to improve business efficiency.
- Conduct research and analyze data to inform business decisions.
- Coordinate youth projects in the Arctic and Africa, and research funding opportunities.
Requirements:
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent research and analytical capabilities.
- Ability to think critically and solve problems.
- Adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced environment.
- Consistent work quality and attention to detail.
- Calm and professional demeanor, with sensitivity to diverse personality types.
- Sense of humor and ability to work collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical background or familiarity with the aerospace sector.
- Experience in social media marketing.
- Fluency in Swahili, Xhosa, Mandarin, or French.
