About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Communications Manager to join our team at the Government of Nunavut. As a key member of our Corporate Affairs department, you will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and management of internal and external communications strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communications Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive communications strategies to promote the Government of Nunavut's initiatives and programs.
  • Media Relations: Manage media inquiries, respond to press releases, and maintain positive relationships with the media and external stakeholders.
  • Internal Communications: Develop and implement internal communications plans to engage employees and promote the organization's vision and values.
  • Public Relations: Manage public relations activities, including branding and positioning strategies to promote the Government of Nunavut.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Gather information from departments and prepare the corporation's Annual report.
Requirements
  • A university degree in public relations, communications, public/business administration, political science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of direct progressive experience in public relations, and/or 3 years of Supervisory/Management experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Public sector experience.
  • Experience in a regulated environment.
  • Experience in a utility environment.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive starting salary range of $108,947.64 to $128,221.86 and a northern living allowance of $16,008.00 per annum. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a defined-benefit pension program.
