Job Summary

The Government of Nunavut is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director, Corporate Services to join our team. As a key member of our executive management team, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight to our corporate services functions, including finance, procurement, human resources, and federal agreements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide executive management oversight and leadership to the corporate services functions, including finance, procurement, human resources, and federal agreements.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Lead the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with government regulations and standards.
  • Oversee the management of departmental finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Provide strategic advice to senior departmental leadership on corporate services matters.
  • Lead the development and implementation of training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of departmental staff.
  • Collaborate with other departments and agencies to achieve shared goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 12 years of progressively more responsible management experience, including a minimum of 5 years of senior management experience.
  • Proven track record of leadership and management experience in a corporate services environment.
  • Strong knowledge of government regulations and standards related to corporate services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Fluency in Inuktitut or French.
  • Experience working in a northern cross-cultural environment.
  • Knowledge of Inuit communities, culture, and land.
