Qulliq Energy Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Manager, Corporate Communications to lead the development, implementation, and management of internal and external communications, and media relations for the Corporation.

This role is responsible for the flow of information between the Corporation, the Board of Directors, QEC's management, and the public.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement communications strategies and materials that align with QEC's corporate strategy.
  2. Manage public relations activities, including branding and positioning strategies to promote QEC as an innovative energy company.
  3. Lead and provide the Corporation with a full range of writing, including press releases, public service announcements, PowerPoint presentations, speeches, and other related material.
  4. Respond to media inquiries and develop and maintain positive relationships with the media and outside stakeholders.
  5. Develop and implement departmental communications procedures to effectively coordinate the design and production of print, electronic, and other communications products.
  6. Build strong internal relationships across QEC and influence internal teams to promote the effective and efficient flow of information throughout the organization.
  7. Create employee communications and social media strategies and programs to engage employees in QEC's strategic vision, values, and mission.
  8. Develop and maintain a centralized service for the translation of all department materials.
  9. Provide strategic communications advice to senior management, including ensuring company spokespeople are properly trained and prepared for engagement with media and stakeholders.
Requirements
  1. A university degree in public relations, communications, public/business administration, political science, or a related field.
  2. Minimum 3-5 years of direct progressive experience in the field of public relations, and/or Minimum of 3 years of Supervisory/Management experience.
Assets
  1. Public sector experience is an asset.
  2. Experience in a regulated environment is an asset.
  3. Experience in a utility environment is an asset.
