Key Responsibilities:

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Post-secondary office administration diploma or degree, and one to three years of administrative experience, preferably at a senior level.
  • Experience working in a healthcare environment is an asset, as is experience with liaising with public, staff, and board members.
  • Intermediate to advanced level computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and internet-based applications such as virtual meeting platforms and file sharing portals.
  • Keyboarding skills of minimum 60 words per minute.
  • Excellent written communication and proofreading skills.
  • Experience with developing schedules and using database software is an asset.
  • Produce accurate, timely agendas, minutes/action summaries for circulation and historical record.
  • Ability to develop attractive and detailed reports, newsletters, PowerPoint presentations, and other correspondence such as letters, memos.
  • Knowledge of meeting and committee process and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively as a team player and ability to work well independently.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage concurrent tasks and unexpected demands, organize/prioritize a changing workload while completing assignments in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Ability to effectively maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to travel to other sites as required.
  • General knowledge of the corporation and its six Hospital sites.
  • Recent satisfactory performance and attendance record.
