At MEAT THE BUN, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our kitchen team.
About the RoleThis is a permanent position offering 30-40 hours of work per week with a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 annually.
We are looking for a talented chef who can manage kitchen operations, supervise staff, and maintain high-quality food standards.
Responsibilities- Menu Planning and Preparation: Plan and prepare menus that meet the needs of our customers and exceed their expectations.
- Cooking and Food Safety: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring they are safe for consumption.
- Staff Supervision: Train and supervise kitchen staff and helpers, promoting a positive and efficient work environment.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring we have everything needed to deliver excellent service.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring our customers receive the highest level of quality and care.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Excellent cooking skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
- A reliable and organized approach to work, with the ability to maintain accurate records and inventory.
