Job Summary

We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to support our team in providing settlement services to newcomers and refugees. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with immediate settlement needs, facilitating access to community resources, and supporting social and labour market integration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees, including housing, transportation, storage, childcare, and winter clothing.
  • Support social and labour market integration by facilitating access to community resources, language training, and skills training.
  • Support newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition.
  • Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for youth, Indigenous workers, and visible minorities.
  • Provide staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers.
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience.
  • Hybrid work environment.
  • English language proficiency.
  • 35 hours per week.
